UKHA launches free and ‘unique’ housekeeping scholarship: apply before 2 Jan

The UK Housekeepers Association (UKHA) has become the largest housekeepers’ association in Europe, serving as a prominent platform for sharing knowledge and
fostering career development.

The UKHA is dedicated to supporting the professional status of housekeeping professionals and has partnered with Lycette Associates to deliver a free housekeeping scholarship in early March 2026.

UKHA members and members of their teams are invited to apply for one of 14 free residential places on the new Leadership for Housekeeping Managers course, designed specifically for housekeeping professionals at The Grand York on the 2, 3 and 4 March 2026. Successful applicants will be selected by an industry panel during the 1st week in January 2026.

This opportunity is perfect for housekeeping professionals who are committed to delivering excellence and driving team performance, looking to advance their management capabilities and stay up to date with industry standards and technology.

Trainer Liz Lycette’s extensive international expertise and considerable housekeeping knowledge has given her a truly multi-cultural approach and a wide range of diverse contacts throughout the industry.

She will be presenting a unique programme for those working in a senior or aspiring roles within housekeeping, enabling housekeeping managers to lead their team with confidence.

Not only suitable for housekeeping managers and their deputies, this workshop also empowers up-and-coming supervisors to gain skills which will improve business outcomes, advance the performance of teams and enhance customer experiences.

The three-day workshop will be lively and interactive, encouraging participation through interactive exercises, networking and shared experiences. Upon completion of the workshop, participants will have a full action plan and timeline to implement back in their operation.
